My 14 year old son experiences Autism and ADHD and traditional schooling has been fairly traumatic for him. Working with Lindsey has helped him learn how to learn. Lindsey has the skills and teaching experience to engage her students in exciting ways and find out what truly works for them. For instance she discovered he often works in 12's, rather than telling him that is not the right way to do it, she told him, that it’s a neat way of doing things and there are also other strategies that might be more efficient, giving him the option to choose which method he would like to use. We started working with her when my son was in 6th grade in the public school setting. He got more in his one hour sessions with her than he did all week. Half way through 7th grade we transitioned to an assisted homeschool program and Lindsey has taken a much larger role in our life, I can’t say enough about what a great teacher she has been for my son. She truly understands the way his brain works and how to help him unlock his academics."
